The death of an African American as a result of police detention in Minneapolis caused a wave of protest throughout the country. The daughter of the mayor of the US business capital also participated in the rally.

According to authorities, Chiara de Blasio was arrested for participating in an illegal assembly on Saturday, May 30th. Allegedly, she was detained after she and other protesters refused to clear the street in Manhattan.
It is noted that shortly after the arrest of his daughter, the mayor called on the protesters to “go home.”
“We appreciate and respect all peaceful protests, but it’s time for people to return home. If you went out in peace to convey your position, you were heard, changes are coming in the city. I have no doubt about that. Time to go home so that we continue to move forward, ” said De Blasio at a press conference.
In addition, de Blasio added that the violence during the protests is due to the actions of “a small number of people” who have a “clear program” to disseminate it.
Recall that mass protests and riots are taking place in the United States due to the death of African American George Floyd during his detention in Minneapolis. 21 states involved the National Guard due to riots.
