NASA revealed “portal to another dimension”

The spiral galaxy NGC 4380 looks like an object from a science fiction film because it resembles a gaping “portal to another dimension”. A corresponding photograph taken by the Hubble Space Telescope was published by NASA.

The report of the American space agency notes that such a galaxy “is actually quite ordinary.” “Spiral galaxies like NGC 4380 are widespread in the universe,” writes NASA.

In August 2017, the agency published a photograph of the galaxy IC 1727, which was actually torn apart by interaction with neighboring NGC 672.

NGC 4380 is located in the constellation Virgo at a distance of 15 megaparsecs from Earth. The galaxy was discovered in March 1826 by the British astronomer John Herschel.
