The authorities of San Francisco settled in hotels around 270 homeless people with coronavirus, as well as those at risk because they have nowhere to survive isolation. It is reported by the New York Post.
Also, 43 homeless people received alcohol, cigarettes, and medical marijuana for free. Thus, officials expect to keep these people inside and prevent them from becoming potential spreaders of the infection.
The Department of Health emphasized that this initiative is not financed by taxpayers but from private donations. The department also said that such measures are practiced not only in San Francisco.
