US President Donald Trump has worsened his position in the ranking of the richest Americans according to Forbes magazine. Now Trump takes the 275th place and is 16 positions lower than a year earlier. Trump himself has already noted that he became impoverished after being elected President of the United States. According to the German publication Die Welt, in the ranking since the beginning of his presidency, Trump has lost as many as 119 lines.
Trump's fortune is estimated at $3.1 billion. At the same time, Trump remains the richest head of state in US history and the most wealthy of the current participants in the 2020 presidential race.
Forbes estimated Trump's revenue from licensing real estate deals at $80 million in 2019. This is about half as much as in 2018.
At the same time, the US president receives almost no profit from the sale of goods bearing his surname. Circles, T-shirts, ties with this inscription before joining the White House annually brought Trump about $14 million.
The leader of the ranking of the richest Americans was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. His fortune is estimated at 114 billion dollars.
In addition to wealth, Trump also loses ratings. So, the United States and Ukraine were in the focus of media attention after a scandal broke out in Washington over allegations by an unnamed U.S. intelligence official that Trump allegedly pressured Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky during a telephone conversation. It was reported that the American leader sought his Ukrainian colleague to investigate the actions of his son Joe Biden in exchange for providing financial and military assistance to Kyiv.
The House of Representatives of Congress, controlled by the Democratic Party, announced on the basis of such suspicions that it has launched an impeachment procedure against Republican Trump. Democrat Biden is now Trump's most likely rival in the upcoming US elections next year.
