Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced the relaxation of quarantine on May 4 - the country will resume the work of factories and construction companies, reports Reuters.
Shops, museums, and libraries will open two weeks after this. The opening of restaurants, bars, and cafes are scheduled for early June.
Also in Italy, parks will open, they will allow short family meetings and funeral processions, but for no more than 15 people.
Mandatory strict security measures will continue.
Schools will remain closed until the start of the next school year in September.
Almost two months have passed since the first coronavirus infection in Italy. The country has more than 197 thousand patients, more than 26 thousand died.
