Trump knew about coronavirus since January — media

Intelligence warned the president in advance of an outbreak

The administration of US President Donald Trump was warned last year about the danger posed by the coronavirus, from which almost 2 thousand people died in the country only in the last 24 hours.

Referring to sources in the US Armed Forces, the ABC television channel reported.

Back in November, employees of the National Center for Medical Intelligence intercepted computer data and took satellite images, based on which they came to the conclusion about the catastrophic consequences that the epidemic could have.

The Pentagon and the White House, in particular, members of the US government and the National Security Council, presented reports on this subject, and in January they personally notified President Donald Trump.

NCMI denies that a similar report has been compiled.

It should be noted that the United States has become the country with the largest number of infected with coronavirus — for 435 thousand infected there are 14.7 thousand dead and 26.5 recovered.

Recall that the World Health Organization China notified the outbreak of the epidemic on December 31, although it later became known that the first case of infection was recorded on November 17.

At the same time, Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accuse WHO of mistakes during the crisis around the coronavirus COVID-19.
