The quarantine will not help defeat coronavirus: WHO told what to do

It is necessary to focus on the diagnosis of patients, their isolation and isolation of those who had contact with them

Countries will not be able to stop the spread of coronavirus only through a complete ban on movement and quarantine. Additional measures are needed to protect public health in order to avoid a second outbreak of coronavirus. This was stated by the Executive Director of the World Health Organization Mike Ryan.

“What we should really focus on is diagnosing patients, isolating them, and isolating those who have had contact with them,” Mike Ryan said during an interview on BBC.

“If we do not take serious steps to ensure public health when all these restrictions on movement are lifted, the risk of infection will increase again,” says Ryan.

Most European countries and the USA have so far introduced strict quarantine measures. Ryan says that in parallel with these restrictions, testing should be done for anyone with a suspected infection.

“As soon as we slow down the transmission of the virus, we must attack the virus itself. We must begin this fight,” Ryan said on BBC.

As you know, on March 24, the Verkhovna Rada will convene for an extraordinary meeting, during which people's deputies can declare a state of emergency throughout the country in connection with the threat of the spread of coronavirus.
