Research results are impressive
In the Italian city of Vaud, no longer record coronavirus infections.
This result was achieved by scientists at the University of Padua with the timely detection of COVID-19.
After the first death on February 22, they proposed to test all 3.4 thousand inhabitants for coronavirus, including asymptomatic ones.
Since the start of research on March 6, 88 cases of infection have been recorded, half of which have not manifested symptoms.

“If these people were not discovered, they would probably unknowingly infect other residents,” scientists say.
As a result of the checks, all infected and those who contacted them were isolated. Ten days later, the number of infected decreased to seven.
“We were able to hold back the outbreak here because we detected and eliminated the” underwater “infections and isolated their carriers. Actually, this is the difference,” said project participant Andrea Crisanti.
According to scientists, isolation of asymptomatic infections is necessary in order to be able to control the spread of the virus and minimize the complications of the disease.
