Under the sanctions of the United States, two more Russian companies, Technomar and Avilon, fell. This is reported by the US Federal Register. As follows from the published document, the Bureau of Industry and Security at the US Department of Commerce amended the Export Control Regulations (EAR), adding a total of 24 legal entities from China, Iran, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation to the sanctions list, DW reports.
All listed companies are considered “acting in violation of national security interests of United States foreign policy.” As specified in the document, Russian firms were sanctioned because they “bypassing licensing requirements” purchased American goods for Technopole, which in turn came under US sanctions in 2016.
Earlier it was reported that the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against Rosneft-controlled Swiss trading company TNK Trading International (TTI). This decision was made due to the fact that TNK Trading International SA supplies Venezuelan oil bypassing previously introduced restrictions.
Recall that in December last year, the United States imposed sanctions against the Russian Nord Stream 2.
