A ship arrived in the harbor with a dead whale on its bow

The Mizushima Coast Guard Department said they had never seen anything like it in their entire operation.

A tanker with a 10-meter dead whale on its bow arrived in the Japanese port of Mizushima. About this on Thursday, September 23 writes the Daily Mail.

The whale was seen by the locals. The whale was hanging from both sides of the tanker's bow. On the spot immediately called the Coast Guard.

According to the publication, the tanker arrived at the port of Mizushima through the Pacific Ocean. The crew claimed that no one suspected that the ship had struck the whale.

Locals said the appearance of the sea giant came as a surprise to them.

“I've been fishing in these parts for decades, but this was the first time I saw a whale,” said a local fisherman.

Another eyewitness to the incident confirmed that whales had not been seen in the area before.

A spokesman for the Coast Guard Department of Mizushima said that the authorities will consider possible measures to prevent such an incident from happening again.

Earlier in Japan, residents of Odawara city, Kanagawa prefecture, found the body of a dead sperm whale more than 14 meters long on one of the beaches.
