Netanyahu mimicked the «sleeping» Biden

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting on U.S. President Joe Biden's meeting with current Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, mocked Biden's tendency to fall asleep.

In a video posted on the politician's Facebook page, he depicted the U.S. president "listening intently" to Israel's new leader. To do so, Netanyahu tilted his head down and closed his eyes.

"I heard that Biden was very attentive in this meeting," Netanyahu remarked sarcastically.

Netanyahu served as prime minister for 12 years, until June 2021. Biden and Bennet met on August 28th and, according to official reports, discussed "the challenges of the Middle East.

The very next day, however, a video surfaced in social media of Joe Biden sitting motionless in his chair, with his hands crossed, and his head bowed, his eyes closed and wearing a mask, during a joint news conference. At the same time, the president does not react in any way to Bennett's active words and gesticulation.

The U.S. president's sleepiness is the subject of many jokes. In June, before Biden met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, former U.S. President Donald Trump advised his successor to "stay awake." And during the campaign, he called Biden "sleepy Joe.
