The UK crashed shares of French vaccine maker

After the British government decided to terminate the contract for the supply of the vaccine from France, the shares of the company Valneva SE, which produces it, fell by 45% during trading in Paris, Bloomberg reports.

Earlier, London was ready to purchase 100 million doses of the vaccine from Valneva SE, but now the English government considered that the company was violating its supply obligations. The total cost of the contract reached 1.4 billion euros.

In the UK, more than 66% of the population — almost 44 million people-received a coronavirus vaccination. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7.2 million cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country. The number of deaths from infection is just over 134 thousand.
