German Chancellor Angela Merkel called the migration situation on the Polish-Belarusian and Lithuanian-Belarusian borders a hybrid attack.
"Now we see hybrid attacks on the eastern border, means of pressure in the form of refugees. This applies to Lithuania and Poland, " Merkel said during a joint press conference with the head of the Polish government Mateusz Morawiecki.
The German Chancellor added that in the current situation, it is necessary to organize humanitarian assistance and protection of external borders, similar to how it was done in Greece.
Earlier, Merkel said that Ukraine should remain a gas transit country after the launch of the Nord Stream 2, an agreement with the United States is aimed at this.
In addition, she told the President of Poland about the support of Nord Stream 2. According to her, the gas pipeline is a difficult issue in relations between Germany and Poland.
