Prince Andrew has received legal documents in the rape case
Britain's Prince Andrew has received legal documents on a lawsuit in which he is accused of sexual abuse. This is reported by the Sky News channel with reference to a court document.
Lawyers representing the American Virginia Giuffre, who sued the Duke of York, indicated in the document that the civil claim was handed over to a police officer on duty at the main gate of the Royal Box in the Great Windsor Park on August 27.
Earlier it became known that Giuffre went to court with a lawsuit against the British Prince Andrew, accusing him of rape. A woman claims that a member of the royal family first abused her in London when she was 17 years old.
In November 2019, the 61-year-old son of the Queen of Great Britain, Prince Andrew, stepped down from his duties as a member of the royal family due to a scandal related to the American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was his friend. At the trial against the American, one of the witnesses pointed out the Duke of York as one of the men with whom Epstein forced her to have sex.
