Where has Melania Trump gone, and what is she doing now?
Life in the White House has been weighing on the wife of Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, and if her husband wins the presidential race again, a return to Washington would be "the worst-case scenario" for her.
Former first lady Melania Trump, 51, has never made any secret of the fact that her husband's election to the presidency in 2017 was by no means a happy event for her. So when he lost the fight for a second term to Joe Biden, the former model breathed a sigh of relief, writes People.
According to the publication's sources, Melania has no interest in returning to Washington.
"If Trump wins another election, that would be the worst-case scenario for her," the insider noted.
Four years in the White House has been a very difficult period for Mrs. Trump — a time of "controversy, international scrutiny, headlines and expectations about her role as national mistress, lawyer, and wife," which is why she does not want a repeat of it all.
In recordings from several years ago at the White House by the first aide to the first lady, Melania can be heard saying she feels stuck between ceremonial commitments and critics who said she ignored or supported her husband's divisive immigration policies.
"Melania doesn't like being in the public eye, and she has made it clear that she has no interest in doing so again," the tabloid notes.
Now, however, she is enjoying life off-camera, and her top priority now is her 15-year-old son Barron, who just went to school at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, founded by Florida billionaire entrepreneur Bill Koch, who invested in Donald Trump's campaign.
The school takes a creative approach to teaching, hiring teachers with a lifetime of experience in their disciplines, and Melania is quite happy to have her son study here.
"She is fully involved in Barron's education, extracurricular activities, and overall well-being," insiders share.
A spokeswoman for Trump's wife added:
"She is focused on being a mother and putting family first while working on various projects that will take time to complete."
Mrs. Trump and her parents have their own apartment at the seasonal Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, where the billionaire and 45th U.S. president's family has spent most of their time since leaving the White House in January. The former Slovenian model's parents, Victor and Amalia Knauss obtained U.S. citizenship in 2018, not without help from their daughter and son-in-law.
Melania was also seen in New York this summer when her husband stayed at their New Jersey mansion.
Not too long ago, rumors of a possible rift in the couple again swirled in the media after Trump's wife did not attend her spouse's 75th birthday party on June 14.
Earlier, she also ignored Valentine's Day. The press also learned that Melania was looking for housing outside Mar-a-Lago. When the family lived in New York, she had her own extra apartment, separate from their penthouse at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue.
As a reminder, former advisor and confidante to Melania Stephanie Winston Wolkoff wrote a book about Mrs. Trump in which she said she "wiped the gloss off" the first lady of the United States.
