According to the media, U.S. law enforcement officials are concerned about possible violence during the rally and therefore plan to install protective structures. Metal fences will appear around the Capitol as well as the Supreme Court building and will block all adjacent streets.

The rally, which is scheduled for Sept. 18, is called "Justice for January 6." Its participants will speak in defense of the 570 people detained during the storming of the Capitol. Activists believe that people are persecuted for political reasons and therefore cannot expect a fair investigation. About 500 people are expected at the rally. According to media reports, far-right extremist groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers are also planning to participate in the rally.

The two-meter-long fence was erected around the Capitol after the Jan. 6 takeover of the building and stood for about six months. It was dismantled in early July.
