The Taliban will not honor the agreement — intelligence

The Taliban are waiting for the withdrawal of American troops.

According to intelligence, the Taliban are going to attack the Afghan authorities as soon as American troops leave the country.

The U.S. authorities have received intelligence that indicates that the radical movement “Taliban” does not intend to comply with the terms of the peace agreement. This was reported on Friday, March 6, NBC TV channel.

“They have no intention to stick to their agreement,” one official said, referring to the intelligence data.

At the same time, the media do not specify what materials the U.S. side received. But it also cites sources in Pakistan close to the Taliban, which also confirm the Taliban's intent to attack.

“We will tell the Afghan leadership that if the U.S. has recognized us and our position, the time has come to give us the country peacefully,” the article quotes a certain person among the Taliban supporters.

According to the channel, the U.S. authorities consider possible attacks by the Taliban on Afghan authorities but do not intend to abandon plans to withdraw their troops from the country because of this.

On February 29 in Doha, the U.S. and the Taliban signed a peace agreement. According to the agreements, the United States, its allies and the coalition intend to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan within 14 months. The Taliban, in turn, guarantee not to use Afghan territory for actions that threaten the security of the United States and its allies.

Also in The Hague, the International Criminal Court approved the opening of investigations into alleged war crimes in Afghanistan.
