Former mixed martial artist (MMA) Scott Fairlam has pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting police and obstructing an official during an attack by supporters of former President Donald Trump who tried to undo his election defeat. This is reported by ABC.
Prosecutors asked to sentence him to imprisonment for a term of 41 to 51 months. According to them, Fairlam was one of the first to enter the Capitol at the time of the riots.
U.S. District Judge Royce set a sentencing date for Fairlum on September 27, who was jailed after being arrested on January 22 at his home in Stockholm, New Jersey.
