Biden confused Obama with Trump during the speech

US President Joe Biden made a reservation and confused his predecessors, Barack Obama and Donald Trump. This is reported by Fox News.

Speaking in Pennsylvania, he said that in 2009, “then-President Trump” instructed him to bring the automotive industry out of the crisis.

“Back in 2009, during the so-called Great Recession, the head of state asked me to lead the management of this crisis, then President Trump ... I'm sorry, a Freudian reservation, this was the last president<...> President Obama, when I held the post of vice president,” he said.

Recall that Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States, he held this position in 2009-2017. Donald Trump in 2017 became the 45th president of the United States, and this year he was replaced by Biden.

The great recession of 2007 was called great. It started with the mortgage crisis in the United States, as a result of which the real estate market collapsed, caused the bankruptcy of the largest banks and financial companies. The crisis situation lasted for 18 months, the fall in GDP exceeded 5%.

Earlier, on June 14, Biden confused Syria with Libya during a press conference after the G7 summit. He meant Syria when he talked about Libya in the context of a possible expansion of partnership with the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that Biden quite often makes unintentional reservations and calls himself a “blunder machine”. For example, he called Vice President Kamala Harris president, mispronounced the surname of Russian President Vladimir Putin, confused the terms “vaccination” and “escalation”, as well as Syria with Libya and Iraq with Iran.
