A two-headed turtle was found on a beach in the U.S.

A state park in the US state of South Carolina has published photos of a rare find — a two-headed baby turtle.

The turtle was discovered last week by one of the ”patrols“ of sea turtles, reports Fox News.

After signs of large hatching appear in a sea turtle nest, volunteers from the park try to determine the ”success“ of the nest by counting hatched and non-hatched eggs.

“Last Wednesday, patrol officers and volunteers found three live baby sea turtles that were still in the shell, but one cub stood out because it had two heads!” the report says. Later, all the cubs were released into the ocean.

It is noted that this is not the first two-headed turtle found on the territory of South Carolina.

Earlier it became known that a turtle, whose species was considered extinct for more than a hundred years, was found in the Galapagos.
