The approval rating of US President Joe Biden dropped to 50% for the first time since he took office. This is evidenced by the data published on Friday from a survey conducted in July by the Gallup sociological service.
According to the results, 45% of Americans do not approve of Biden's activities as president, 5% of respondents have not formed a position on this issue. Thus, only 50% of respondents support Biden's work, which is six percentage points lower than in June: then 56% of respondents spoke positively about the president's activities.
It is noted that the July rating was the lowest for the entire time of Biden's tenure as head of state.
The assessment of Biden's performance varied depending on the party affiliation of the respondents. Thus, 90% of supporters of the US Democratic Party approve of the president's activities. Among Republicans, only 12% speak positively about the president. Among citizens who are not supporters of any party, Biden is supported by 48% of respondents.
The survey was conducted from July 6 to 21 among 1,007 respondents over the age of 18 living in all 50 US states and in the city of Washington. The error does not exceed 4%.
