The passenger ship “Dream Cruises”, which left Singapore on a cruise” to nowhere”, returned to the port ahead of schedule after the coronavirus was detected in one of the passengers, the CNA TV channel reported.
Last night, a case of suspected coronavirus was announced to all passengers, activities on board were suspended, and the ship returned to Singapore ahead of schedule. The crew also reported that persons who were in close contact with the infected person were identified, their tests for coronavirus gave a negative result. Nevertheless, all of them will be the first to leave the ship.
Recall that in December 2020, doctors in Singapore detected a coronavirus on board the cruise liner “Quantum”. In August, passengers and crew members of cruise liners were banned from going ashore in Norwegian ports after an outbreak of COVID-19 on the Hurtigruten ship. In addition, in May, Seychelles refused to accept cruise liners until 2022 to protect the local population from coronavirus infection.
