NASA warned of an increase in the number of floods

NASA has warned of the threat of more frequent floods in the 2030s. This is stated on the organization's website.

Scientists have concluded that in the next decade, both coasts of the United States will face a rapid increase in the number of flooding during high tides. “The combination of the gravitational pull of the Moon, sea-level rise, and climate change will lead to an increase in coastal flooding around the world,” NASA said.

According to pessimistic forecasts, flooding in some months will follow each other, and residents of a number of areas of the United States will observe them at intervals of one or two days. This can lead to the destruction of sewer drains, and also threatens transport paralysis, which will affect the economy.

On July 6, it was reported that seven people, including three children, became victims of bad weather in Krasnodar resorts. A state of emergency has been introduced in the Tuapse, Slavyansky, Seversky districts, as well as in the cities of Sochi, Gelendzhik, and Goryachy Klyuch. More than 260 residential buildings were flooded, the authorities evacuated local residents. Before that, in another region of Russia — the Sverdlovsk region — rain flooded cities, villages and washed away dams, the authorities organized the evacuation of residents.
