More than 400 people in Switzerland have fallen ill with coronavirus despite being vaccinated with Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
вЂњSince January 27, 205 people who received the first dose of the vaccine have been diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 14 days after vaccination. Another 218 cases of infection have been reported, as of July 2,вЂќ said Federal Office spokesperson Daniele Bercier.
A total of 3.2 million people in the country have been vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 704,000 Swiss have been infected and nearly 11,000 patients have died.
Earlier Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus said that the situation with coronavirus at the moment is very dangerous, despite the progress already made. Worldwide, almost 184 million people have been infected with coronavirus, of which about four million patients have died.
