Kim Jong-un says “great crisis” in North Korea

The head of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un, has declared a “great crisis” related to the pandemic coronavirus infection. He was quoted as saying by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

During a meeting of the Politburo of the Workers' Party of Korea, the North Korean leader chided top officials for failures in anti-epidemic work that led to a “great crisis” and endangered the security of the country and its residents. At the same time, the report on the meeting does not specify what exactly the crisis mentioned by Kim Jong-un was related to.
