The Presidents of the United States and Russia, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, concluded their talks at the Villa La Grange in Geneva.
The Russian leader arrived for the talks around 14: 00. At the entrance to the villa, he was met by the Swiss leader Guy Parmelin. Later, they were joined by the head of the White House, Joe Biden. The politicians shook hands, took photos, and then left for the negotiations in a narrow format.
It is noteworthy that the American president did not answer the journalist's questions about relations with Russia before the meeting. He just smiled in greeting and ignored the question.
Later, after a break, the negotiations continued in a broad format.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan, White House National Security Adviser John Sullivan, Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia at the National Security Council Eric Green were present on the US side.
On the Russian side, the delegation included Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, and assistant to the Russian leader Yuri Ushakov.
