Britain could not prove Russia's guilt in the Ryanair incident

London has not found any evidence that Russia was involved in the landing of the Ryanair plane in Minsk. This was stated by British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.

The head of the British Foreign Ministry said earlier that London is ready to impose sanctions against the Nord Stream — 2 and Yamal — Europe gas pipelines. Raab said that the situation with the emergency landing of the Ryanair plane in Minsk could have happened “at least with the tacit consent of Moscow.”

The former editor-in-chief of NEXTA and his girlfriend, Russian citizen Sofia Sapega, was detained on May 23 in Minsk. Their plane, which was flying on the Athens — Vilnius route, landed after information about a bomb on board appeared. He was accompanied by a fighter of the Belarusian Air Force.

As it became known, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for Belarus to be banned from international events, including the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

626 deputies voted for the adoption of the document, 16 voted against, 36 abstained. It is worth noting that the resolution is of a recommendatory nature. We are talking about the forced landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk, as well as the detention of Belarusian opposition leader Roman Protasevich and his Russian girlfriend Sofia Sapieha.
