In the U.S., a fraudster posed on social networks as Trump's relatives

Joshua Hall, a Pennsylvania resident, was charged with identity theft and fraud. The man posed as a relative, including the son, of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the prosecutor's office, Hall organized a fundraiser for Donald Trump's re-election campaign, which, in fact, never existed. The suspect used the collected thousands of dollars for personal purposes, reports TV channel ABC.

The scammer also created accounts on social networks with the names and photos of members of the Trump family. He used fake accounts to gather followers and attract media attention. “He used public platforms to give himself and the fictitious political organization he founded the appearance of close ties to the former president's family and to encourage victims to make monetary contributions,” prosecutors said.
