Every adult citizen who has been vaccinated against the coronavirus will be able to get a roll-up with marijuana in the US state of Washington. The decision was made by the State Council for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis as part of a strategy to vaccinate more people, The New York Times reports.
The promotion will last until July 12. For more than a month, authorized marijuana sellers will give out one free roll-up to all persons over the age of 21 who have been vaccinated. Also, vaccinated adult citizens have the opportunity to claim free beer, wine, or cocktail.
According to the latest data available to the NYT, more than 49% of the population in the state were fully vaccinated, and at least one dose was received by 58% of residents. In general, 42% of the population in the United States was vaccinated.
Earlier, a similar action in the distribution of marijuana was arranged in Arizona and New York.
In the United States, since mid-April, the rate of vaccination began to fall, and in this connection, various promotions are held throughout the country, offering vaccinated citizens free alcohol, college scholarships, and lotteries with prizes of $1 million.
