Law enforcement officials from the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, and 16 other countries, with the support of the European Police Agency, conducted a large-scale operation to combat criminal activity related to the encryption of correspondence. It is noted that in 2019, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) developed a platform with which it was possible to track the activities of criminal organizations based on the study of 27 million messages.
As a result, according to the document, more than 700 addresses were searched in 16 countries, more than 800 suspects were detained, almost 40 tons of narcotic substances, and 250 firearms were seized.
Detentions in Germany
