Blinken urged Russia to stop cyberattacks

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Russia must stop cyber attacks that are allegedly conducted from its territory. In an interview with the Spanish service CNN, he noted that Moscow “has a duty” to ensure the cessation of such actions.

I think that it is the obligation of any country to do everything possible to find the groups and bring them to justice, including in the case of the cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline, “ Blinken stressed.

He also expressed the opinion that the US authorities and the private sector should strengthen their protection against cyberattacks.

But we also need countries around the world to make commitments and then fulfill that commitments-not to harbor criminal communities that engage in such attacks, but, on the contrary, to find them, stop them and bring them to justice, “ the Secretary of State said.

Earlier it became known that the FBI attributes the cyberattack on the world's largest meat producer JBS to the criminal services REvil and Sodinokibi. After the cyberattack on JBS Food, the company temporarily closed all of its beef production plants in the United States. Now the work on them is being restored. The White House told about contacts with the Kremlin on the situation with the hacker attack, as JBS claims that the ransom may have been demanded from Russia.
