Microsoft will stop supporting Internet Explorer in 2022

Microsoft has announced that it will discontinue support for its Internet browser, Internet Explorer, from June 15, 2022. This is stated in a statement published on the company's website.

“With the transition of browser features to Microsoft Edge, the Internet Explorer 11 application is retired and its support is discontinued,” the message says.

The company said that this measure will not affect some versions of Windows. We are talking, in particular, about Windows 10 LT SC.

It is noted that instead of Internet Explorer, users are invited to switch to the Microsoft Edge browser with the built-in IE mode, with which you can access outdated websites and applications based on it. The company assured that it will maintain this regime until 2029.

Microsoft Edge became the main browser for new editions of Windows in 2015.
