Former US President Donald Trump is negotiating with online platforms in search of a new platform for communicating with supporters, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing informed sources.
According to sources, the former head of state is currently considering the young social network CloutHub, popular among conservatives, and the FreeSpace platform, which is an alternative to Facebook. At the same time, sources close to Trump do not rule out the appearance of another contender.
The publication writes that the former president plans to make public his plans for social networks by July 4, while it is not excluded that he will need several partner platforms to compensate for the functions of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
In addition, the sources said that Trump is interested in online platforms paying him to attract new users, the money he would like to get in advance.
Earlier, the former US president called the blocking of his pages on social networks ”an absolute disgrace “and ”humiliation”. Facebook Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, and Snapchat accounts were blocked in January of this year after the Capitol was stormed by its supporters.
