The bomb shelters are being opened in accordance with the current instructions of the home front department, the municipality said.

Israeli authorities have begun opening bomb shelters in Tel Aviv and other major cities in the country amid continued shelling from the Gaza Strip.

“In accordance with the instructions of the Rear Management, the Tel Aviv Municipality has begun to open municipal public shelters,” the press service of the Tel Aviv Municipality reports.

In particular, shelters were opened in Rishon Lezion, Ramat Gan, Modi'in, Givatayim, Or Yehuda.

At the same time, the Israeli authorities denied information about the rocket attack on Tel Aviv by Islamists.

In turn, a representative of the Hamas “Al-Qassam Brigades” said that Israel has until six in the evening to withdraw troops from the areas of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Darrah in the east of Jerusalem.

Recall that today the Israeli army announced the most powerful attack in seven years from the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas military wing of the Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks on Israel. They said it was a response to the “aggression against the holy city” of Jerusalem and to the “ persecution of our people in Sheikh Jarrah and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

In Jerusalem, several days of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police over the celebration of Jerusalem Day, established in honor of the transition of the eastern part of the city under Israeli control after the six-day war, have been going on for several days. Today it was reported that the number of victims has increased to 305. Seven of them are in serious condition.
