The American president and the NATO Secretary-General will join the virtual summit of nine leaders of Eastern European countries
US President Joe Biden will join today's summit of Eastern European NATO members, which will focus mainly on security in the Black Sea region and Ukraine.
This was announced by the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.

Iohannis added that NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg will also join the summit via videoconference.
The Bucharest Nine Summit will be held on May 10. It was organized by Klaus Iohannis and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda. In addition, the meeting will be attended by the Presidents of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovakia.
The event will be held in a hybrid model: Iohannis and Duda, as organizers, will meet in Bucharest and hold a video conference with the rest of the participants. Their main goal is to discuss the coordination of the security positions of the countries of the region.
