Apple plans to invest more than $430 billion in the U.S. economy over the next five years, according to the company's website.
Such investments will allow the company to create an additional 20 thousand new jobs in the country. For example, part of the money Apple will spend on the development of 5G technologies, the purchase of components from American suppliers, as well as on investments in data centers.
The corporation will also spend a billion dollars on projects in North Carolina, where it will build a new campus and an engineering hub. The investment will create at least three thousand new jobs in such areas as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and software engineering.
Apple notes that over the past three years, its investments in the United States have exceeded the goal of $350 billion set in 2018.
Earlier, Fortune magazine published an annual ranking of the most respected companies in the world, Apple has already topped it 14 times in a row. No Russian company was included in the rating.
