Biden also spoke with Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, the White House said.
As reported, the jury found guilty on all counts of ex-police officer Derek Chauvin, accused of the murder of George Floyd.
Earlier, medical examiner Andrew Baker, who conducted an autopsy on Floyd's body, called the strangulation a consequence of the man's death.
The high-profile trial started on March 8.
Chauvin is charged with manslaughter. If the ex-policeman is found guilty, he can be sentenced to prison for up to 40 years.
