Protests began in the American city of Brooklyn Center (Minnesota) after a police officer shot and killed a black man.
According to the Star Tribune, the man in question was 20-year-old Dante Wright. City police officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation. They found out that a warrant had been issued for the young man's arrest. Wright did not comply with the police officers who tried to detain him and got back into his car.
One of the police officers shot the young man. His car drove several streets and crashed into another car. Wright was given medical assistance but died on the spot.
It is noted that protests began outside the city's police headquarters. The protesters refused to disperse at the request of the police. Policemen used tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber bullets.
Earlier it was reported that four people were injured in a shooting in the American city of Seattle.
