Prince Harry avoids face-to-face meeting with Prince William

“They won't be able to meet in public without betraying tension.”

The Duke of Cambridge kept his promise after the release of the controversial interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and called his younger brother to sort things out. However, as an insider told Us Weekly magazine, the conversation was not very informative. In fact, the heirs of Prince Charles and Princess Diana discussed only one topic — the upcoming opening of the monument to Lady Di.

“The conversation between William and Harry didn't go well. They agreed on the monument but communication was sparse — via email and WhatsApp. Harry has so much going on in his life. He is preparing for the birth of his daughter and does not think about the consequences of his arrival in the UK,” the source said.

To make things go smoothly, William insists on a preliminary meeting, which does not quite fit into his younger brother's plans. Meghan Markle is due to give birth to her second child in early summer, and the grand opening is scheduled for July 1 — the day the Princess of Wales could celebrate her 60th birthday.

“All eyes will be on them, critics will analyze their every move and how they interact with each other,” the insider added. “William doesn't believe they can meet in public without showing tension if they don't settle their differences beforehand. The monument should reflect Diana's legacy, not their enmity. But Harry refuses to meet with William so that he can not push them around. His stubbornness makes the situation even worse.”
