Twitter has been in talks to buy the social network Clubhouse in recent months, Bloomberg reports, citing informed sources.
According to sources, the deal is estimated at $4 billion. At the same time, the negotiations are currently suspended for an unknown reason.
A Twitter spokesperson declined to comment, and Clubhouse did not respond to the agency's request at this time.
Earlier, Twitter launched a beta version of the Spaces audio platform, which, presumably, should become a competitor to Clubhouse. At the moment, not all users can use the platform to conduct open conversations.
The clubhouse is a social network where users communicate by voice messages without the possibility of recording and further distribution. To join the app, you need to receive an invitation from an already registered user.
