In the Philippines, police forced a quarantine violator to squat 300 times. After that, the man died.
According to relatives of the deceased, Darren Manaog went out to buy water but allegedly did it after six o'clock in the evening, when the curfew was in effect.
Officers stopped him and other violators. They were ordered to squat in sync 100 times, and if at least one of them went wrong, they all had to start over.
As a result, the exercises had to be performed several times. And for Darren, they were fatal. Local authorities called the incident torture. The perpetrators are promised to be punished.
