5 countries, whose citizens died in the crash of a Ukrainian plane near Tehran, appealed to Iran with a demand to hand over flight recorders. This was reported by “European Truth,” referring to a report on the website of the Canadian Foreign Ministry after a teleconference of representatives of Canada, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Sweden, and the UK.
The countries are concerned that the Iranian side has not handed over the “black boxes”.
“Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation requires that this be done without delay. To show that Iran is still ready to report this event in full and transparent form, it must immediately transfer the “black boxes,” the statement said.
Representatives of the countries agreed on the need to continue the pressure “to achieve accountability, transparency, and justice for the victims of flight PS752.
The participants also committed to agreeing on legal options for negotiating with Iran on the responsibility for the shooting down of the UIA aircraft in order to achieve justice, including appropriate compensation for the relatives of the victims in the plane crash.
Just to remind you, on 2 February, the Ukrainian mass media published a recording of the talks between the Tehran airport control room and an Iranian pilot. Judging by the audio recording, an Iranian pilot saw a rocket launch and an explosion of an MAU aircraft.
After the recording was “drained”, the Iranian authorities said that they would no longer share with Ukraine the proofs of the Boeing accident investigation.
