In the United States, a resident of the state of Indiana, Noah Green, is considered the culprit of the attack at the US Congress buildings. According to MSNBC, the suspect may share the goals of the Nation of Islam movement.

According to the report, Green was 25 years old. On his Facebook page, he allegedly expressed support for the Nation of Islam movement.

Earlier, a man in a car crashed into two police officers, got out of the car with a knife, and attacked law enforcement officers. The Capitol area was blocked off due to a security threat. Police closed off streets adjacent to the U.S. Capitol and Congressional office buildings. It was also banned from entering or exiting any building in the Capitol complex.

Following a statement from Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Conti, the restrictions were lifted.

In connection with the report of the death of a police officer, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi ordered to lower the flags at the Capitol.

Earlier, the head of the Washington police said that the incident at the Capitol is presumably not related to terrorism.
