Coronavirus in New York: introduced an electronic vaccination passport

Google News

New York has introduced a digital certificate that will be used to officially confirm that a person has been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

This was announced by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Twitter.

“We are launching the Excelsior Pass, a free platform for businesses and individuals that can be used to easily access reliable proof of vaccination or recently negative coronavirus test,” he wrote.

So, the vaccination certificate will be used in the form of a QR code. To get it, you need to download the application. Also, the code can be printed on a special website.

It is noted that companies and sites will scan the code to confirm the validity of the certificate. New York was the first state in the United States to use this document.
