Last night, US President Joe Biden announced that as part of the plan to support the population of the country (American Rescue Plan), 100 million Americans have already received a one-time payment from the government in the amount of $1,400.
Financial support to the population is provided as part of a package of measures to support the economy against the background of the pandemic for $1.9 trillion, which was previously approved by the US president. Thus, President Biden fulfilled his promise made last week to make individual payments within ten days.
In total, the government allocated $400 billion for individual payments. A check for $1,400 can be received by a US citizen earning no more than $75,000 a year, a single parent earning no more than $112,500 a year, or a couple earning no more than $150,000 a year.
