NASA's Ingenuity helicopter, which arrived at Mars with the Perseverance rover, will make its first flight on Mars.

This is reported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Before the flight, the crew will have to go through several “intimidating” preparatory stages.

“When NASA's Sojourner rover landed on Mars in 1997, it proved that Red Planet travel was possible and completely changed the way we approach Mars exploration. Similarly, we want to learn about the potential of ingenuity for the future of scientific research, “ said Lori Glaze, director of the Planetary Science Division at NASA headquarters.

The “Ingenuity” work is designed for 31 days. During the flights on Mars, it will produce aerial photographs of the area.

Earlier, we wrote that the US space agency NASA has completed a test of a rocket that should deliver people to the Moon by 2024 as part of the Artemis mission.
