A group of Norwegian scientists has confirmed the risk of a dangerous side effect caused by the AstraZeneca vaccine. The local newspaper Verdens Gang writes about it.
Experts checked the data of three doctors under the age of 50, who were hospitalized at the Riskhospitalat at the University of Oslo due to blood clots. It is indicated that one of them died. Scientists believe that patients developed blood clots when their lymphocyte count was low due to the body's strong immune response.
“We have identified specific antibodies in platelets that give a picture that is familiar to us from other areas of medicine, but is caused by drugs,” — said one of the authors of the study, Paul Andre Holme.
So far, 120,000 people have received AstraZeneca in Norway, most of whom have not experienced side effects. Despite this, the kingdom has suspended vaccinations, as have several dozen other European countries.
