Countries of the European Union massively stop the use of the drug from the coronavirus company AstraZeneca. The reason for this decision is the possible formation of blood clots after the COVID vaccination.
Which countries have already stopped immunization?
Why do they refuse the vaccine?
Austria was the first to announce the suspension of vaccination by AstraZeneca. There, after vaccination, a 49-year-old woman died, and another developed pulmonary embolism.
A case of thrombosis has also been reported in the Netherlands. And today in Slovakia, a 38-year-old teacher, who was injected with the drug, died. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was cerebral edema, thrombophilia, and pulmonary embolism.
At the same time, the European Medicines Agency began to protect the vaccine. The regulator noted that there is no confirmation of the link between the occurrence of side effects and the vaccine.
And the Canadian authorities said that the British-developed drug is safe and effective, so they are not going to stop vaccination.
