Former US President Donald Trump has banned the Republican Party from using his name for fundraising.
According to Politico, a letter was sent by Trump's lawyers to the three largest fundraising groups for the Republican Party.
They are demanding that the National Republican Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senate Committee stop using the 45th President's name when sending any emails or selling items for party donations.
Trump decided to send such letters after he learned that his name was used by Republicans to raise funds. They joined the Democrats in the vote to impeach him in January.
At the same time, representatives of the Republican Party note that it is impossible not to use the name of Donald Trump since he is too popular.
It is also known that Trump himself uses Save America SuperPAC and DonaldJTrump.com to raise money for his own political campaign.
Earlier we reported that Donald Trump expects to take control of both houses of the US Congress in the elections in 2022.
