WHO warns of “mass injury” due to coronavirus

The coronavirus pandemic has caused “massive trauma” around the world, much more so than after World War II.

This was stated by the Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus reports Xinhua.

“Because of the impact of the Second World War, the world experienced massive trauma. Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic on a large scale, even more, people have been affected, almost the whole world,” said the WHO Director-General.

According to him, the mass trauma caused by the pandemic is “incomparably large” and surpasses the post-war one.

“States should see it this way and prepare for it,” Gebreyesus said.

We previously reported that WHO does not support the introduction of coronavirus vaccination passports, which are going to be issued in the European Union.
